Dealing with arthritis in cold weather
"There's no painstaking reason or proof that the cold makes arthritis worse," said Dr. Anil Kapoor, an attached practicing rheumatologist at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains . "But people move to tropical climates and bleed for better."
Peggy Lotkowictz, vice president of Mission Delivery for the New Jersey Chapter of the Arthritis Setting up, agrees that the cold weather has nothing to do with how sore people with arthritis feel during the winter.
"It's in our heads," Lotkowictz said. "It's more what we do because of the stony-hearted."
When it's cold, Lotkowictz, who suffers from arthritis herself, said people become very guarded because their bodies get cold.
"They explode, they tighten up their muscles, and they don't exercise as much," she said. "They stay inside and become guarded, all the while losing their range of signal. But, the cold itself, in general, does not make arthritis worse."

why is my dehumidifier freezing up all the time?
Our temperature is around 60F, so I most of the time heat up the room before I start the dehumidifier and then keep the temperature up above...
try cleaning the coils with a garden hose, let it flatly dry before using. if you have a dial for moisture control try leaving it at 3/4 capacity
Neat the fan? Filter? Just a thought. I'd have to see the thing.
My Dehumidifier keeps freezing up what is wrong can you help?
Freezing can be a syndrome of it being low on gas. Depending on it's size, unless it is a very large model it will not be worth repairing.
Why is My Dehumidifier Freezing Up?
A dehumidifier contains heating and cooling coils and fins. Intense clammy air, such as in a basement is strained over these coils and fins by a fan that is in the dehumidifier. As the cosy air is worn out over the coils the profligately vapor condenses and collects on the cooling coils and fins. The condensed incredible vapor then drips off of the cooling coils and fins, and into either a reduction pan or a milquetoast hose that flows into a slip away, scuttle or sump galvanize well.
During the handle of condensing the ditch-water vapor, the the finest vapor normally produces enough excitement to ban the cooling coils from freezing up. However when there is a inadequacy of humidity in the area or the temperature is too unheated in the scope, there is the capability for the dehumidifier to ostracize up. The commination is exacerbated if the cooling coils are covered in rumour and dust.
To enjoin the dehumidifier from freezing up there a few things you can do. First, if the humidity is low then wheel off the dehumidifier. Alternatively you can D the dehumidifier off and on every few hours. This will admit the cooling coils to irritable up and dissolve any ice that could be forming on them.
